All races are graded so members will only race people of similar ability and each night, after the Golden Mile members will have the chance to have a go at one of the following:

Long Jump – 1st May
Shot Putt – 8th May
100m – 15th May
Javelin – 22nd May
400m – 29th May
Prize giving – 5th June

Compete in any 4 of these events and the Golden Mile to enter the Pentathlon League

Cost is €3 per race or €15 for the Golden Mile Summer Series and Pentathlon.

All proceeds in aid of Irish Heart Foundation.

Carrick-on-Suir Road Runners have launched their Summer Series incorporating "The Three Counties Challenge".

Race number 2 is being held on 4th July @ 7.30pm in Ballyneale.

Saturday 17th May 2008 say the staging of the Bausch & Lomb Waterford to Tramore run which is part of the West Waterford Athletic Club Ger Wyley Sports/Nike Summer Road Racing Series 2008 with a total of 257 athletes taking part.

Well done to everyone who took part and to those runners from Waterford AC.

A number of club members competed in the recent Munster Track & Field Championships in Cork IT on 5th May 2008.

Congratulations to the following for their results:

Men O35:
David Drohan came 1st in the 400M in a time of 58:07 and 2nd in the 800M in a time of 2:11:43.

Waterford AC Juvenile Club are looking for parents, runners, or anyone involved (or would like to become involved) in the club to help out with our training sessions. The main night we are hoping to get volunteers is on a Thursday night from 7-8pm. You don't need to be an Olympic Champion, just have an interest in athletics and organising games for kids.

Anyone who would like to help out can give their name to Albert Tebay on 087-6720897 or Brian Swaby on 087-2343520. All new coaches will have an easy introduction at Saturday morning training so nobody is just thrown in straight away.

Members can now renew their membership online using the membership link on the menu or following this link. New members may also use the form to sign up to the club.

Aynone who does not want to pay online can still download the form on the page and give it to any committee member along with the appropriate fee.

Applications will be processed once payment has been made and members will be notified by email once they have been registered with the Athetlics Association of Ireland.

CIRCUIT TRAINING 2007/2008 - Please note new start date

Circuit Training is back again for this Season and Adele Walsh will be taking the Sessions. It will be on every Wednesday Night 7:00pm - 8:00pm in the Presentation Secondary School Gym starting from the 3rd October. Anyone interested in taking part is welcome to attend.

Cross Country training is back starting again for this season in Portlaw Woods from Sunday 16th September @ 9.30am. Group meets at the soccer ground.
